Ingredients:

  • 1 glass of Extra Extra Coarse Bulgur
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 small onion ( finely minced )
  • ½ carrot ( chopped as small cubes )
  • 1 small green cabbage ( chopped as cubes )
  • 1 celery ( chopped as cubes )
  • ½ small glass of peas ( frozen or canned )
  • 1 small tomato ( peeled, finely chopped )
  • 1 green long pepper ( finely minced )
  • 1 pinch of fresh mint
  • 1 coffee spoon of butter
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 2 glasses of boiled water

 

1- Put the olive oil and butter in a broad and shallow pan. When the oil is hot add the onion, cabbage, carrot and celery at the same time and sauté them for 3 minutes.

2- Add chopped green peppers and char them for 1 minute more.

3- Add the tomato and mix them for 1 minute. Add the peas.

4- Then, add Extra Extra Coarse Bulgur, salt, black pepper, boiled water and fresh mint, leave it for cooking at low heat for 15 minutes until bulgur almost absorbs water.

5- You may serve your bulgur pilaf after let it rest for 20 minutes.
